Mil-spec wire size chart:

Spec 44:

Spec 44 wire has a dual-wall construction that combines the outstanding physical and electrical characteristics of radiation crosslinked polyalkene with the excellent mechanical and chemical resistance of radiation cross-linked polyvinylidene fluoride. Spec 44 wire’s lightweight and small size finds wide use throughout industry, in commercial and military electronics, in avionics and on satellites, aircraft, helicopters, ships, trains and offshore platforms. The cross-linked PVDF insulation has a working temperature of 150°c, making it ideal at carrying high current loads, in extreme working environments.

Spec 55:

Spec 55 ( TEFZEL ) wires have extruded, cross linked, ETFE insulation for aerospace and other applications requiring light weight, tight diameter tolerances, and enhanced mechanical toughness. ETFE insulation also provides exceptional resistance to radiation, abrasion and chemicals. Its for these reasons it is the number one choice in high performance motorsport. With a working temperature of -65°c - 150/200°c, this wire is perfect for the harsh conditions experienced in many industries worldwide.

DR-25 ( thin wall )

The DR-25-TW flexible fluid resistant elastomeric tubing, developed from DR-25, is a thin wall version ideal for use where space and weight saving are important. It also offers excellent resistance to fluids at high temperature and to long term heat exposure. It is fast to install and may be used with other products from the TE Raychem System 25 range of compact and tough harnessing systems. Specially formulated for optimum high temperature fluid resistance and long term heat resistance. Resistant to aviation and diesel fuels, hydraulic fluids and lubricating oils. Particularly suitable as a jacketing material for military ground vehicle cables and harnesses. It is also ideally suited for the demands of motorsport cable harnesses. With an operating temperature range of -75°c - 150°c, DR25-TW is the number 1 choice in professional motorsport, worldwide, along with many other heavy-duty applications.
